Spiro-SAFE premium silencer diameter 125 mm - length 600 mm (100 mm insulation)

The Spiro-SAFE premium silencer diameter 125 mm - length 600 mm (100 mm insulation) is a round ventilation silencer made of galvanized steel, specifically designed for use in ventilation and air handling ducts. This silencer is engineered to effectively reduce noise generated by airflow and mechanical fans, ensuring that sound levels in occupied and technical rooms remain within acceptable limits.
The silencer connections are equipped on both ends with male connectors (spigot ends) featuring an integrated double EPDM lip seal, providing an airtight and reliable connection with round ventilation ducts.

Practical information

Sound absorption is achieved through glass wool located between the inner and outer shells of the silencer. Depending on the version, the wool thickness is 50 mm or 100 mm for the PREMIUM-100 model. The mineral wool is flexible and cut from roll material, allowing it to conform well to the shape of the silencer and guarantee uniform sound attenuation along the entire length of the product. This ensures consistent damping even with variable airflow and smaller duct sizes.

The outer shell is made of high-quality galvanized steel to ensure durability and reliability, providing a robust and corrosion-resistant finish.

The construction is solid and functional, with a sturdy outer casing that withstands mechanical stress during installation and use. The product code clearly indicates the type of silencer, insulation thickness, duct diameter (Ød1), and silencer length. This makes it easy to select the appropriate silencer for any ventilation project, from residential to complex commercial applications.

Why is the premium variant better than the standard variant?

The premium silencer offers several advantages over the standard silencer, making it better suited for certain applications:

  1. Wool Thickness: The premium silencer uses 100 mm thick mineral wool cut from roll material, allowing the insulation to better conform to the inner shape of the silencer and provide more uniform sound attenuation.
  2. Central Core: From diameter 315 mm onwards, the premium silencers feature a central core. This core directs airflow through a perforated inner tube, increasing the contact of sound waves with the absorption layer. As a result, mid and high frequencies are attenuated more effectively.
  3. More Uniform Noise Reduction: The combination of flexible insulation, good sealing, and thoughtful construction ensures that the premium variant delivers more consistent noise reduction across a wide frequency range. The standard variant may have slightly less uniform attenuation, particularly at lower frequencies.

How can I reduce the noise of my ventilation system?
How can I reduce the noise of my ventilation system?
It is important to know where noise in your ventilation system is coming from, before you can reduce it. A ventilation system causes air to be moved and in doing so, vibrations are released. To do this, a mechanical ventilation system is equipped with a motor that also creates vibrations. Many of these vibrations produce noise and thus annoyance. The noise level can vary from one ventilation system to another.
