The Maxivent automatic switching water coil is an optional accessory designed to expand the horizontal low-profile M4555 air handling unit. Constructed with a galvanized steel frame, aluminium fins, copper tubes, and headers, the automatic switching water coil delivers excellent thermal conductivity with a capacity of 94.80 kW for heating and 34.49 kW for cooling.

Water or a glycol mixture circulates through the copper tubes of the heat exchanger, absorbing or releasing heat to the airflow within the air handling unit. The heat exchanger is supplied by an external source, such as a boiler, chiller, or heat pump, which provides the coil with hot or chilled water. The key advantage over a conventional hot or chilled water coil is that the automatic switching water coil can both cool and heat. Switching between functions is easily managed via a control valve.

The automatic switching water coil is mounted on the side of the horizontal low-profile M4555 air handling unit.
