The Maxivent automatic changeover water coil is an optional accessory designed to extend the horizontal M4555 air handling unit. Constructed from a galvanized steel frame, aluminium fins, copper tubes, and collectors, the automatic changeover water coil delivers excellent thermal conductivity with a capacity of 56.80 kW for heating and 19.40 kW for cooling.

Copper tubes within the heat exchanger circulate water or a glycol mixture, which absorbs or releases heat to the air stream within the air handling unit. The heat exchanger is supplied by an external source, such as a boiler, chiller, or heat pump, providing the coil with either hot or cold water. The key advantage compared to a standard hot or cold water coil is that the automatic changeover water coil can both cool and heat. Switching between functions is easily controlled via a regulating valve.

The automatic changeover water coil is mounted on the side of the horizontal M4555 air handling unit.
