The Spiro-SAFE premium sound attenuator diameter 200 mm - length 600 mm (100 mm insulation) is a round ventilation sound attenuator made of galvanized steel, specifically designed for use in ventilation and air handling ducts. This attenuator is engineered to effectively reduce noise generated by airflow and mechanical fans, ensuring that noise levels in occupied spaces and technical rooms remain within acceptable limits. The attenuator’s connection features male ends (insertion ends) on both sides with an integrated double EPDM lip seal, creating an airtight and reliable connection with round ventilation ducts.

Practical information

Sound absorption is achieved through glass wool situated between the attenuator’s inner and outer casing. Depending on the model, the wool thickness is 50 mm or 100 mm for the PREMIUM-100. The mineral wool is flexible and cut from roll material, allowing it to conform tightly to the shape of the attenuator and ensuring uniform noise reduction over the entire length of the product. 2. Central core: From diameter 315 mm onwards, the premium attenuators feature a central core. This core directs airflow through a perforated inner tube, increasing the contact of sound waves with the absorption layer. This effectively improves attenuation especially of mid and high frequencies.
3. More uniform noise reduction: The combination of flexible insulation, excellent sealing, and thoughtful construction ensures that the premium version delivers a more consistent sound reduction across a wide frequency range. In contrast, the standard version’s attenuation can be less uniform, particularly at lower frequencies.
