The Spiro-SAFE premium silencer diameter 200 mm - length 1200 mm (100 mm insulation) is a round ventilation silencer made from galvanized steel, specially designed for use in ventilation and air handling ducts. This silencer is engineered to effectively reduce noise generated by airflow and mechanical fans, ensuring that noise levels in living spaces and technical rooms remain within acceptable limits.
The silencer is fitted on both ends with a male connection (insertion end) featuring an integrated double EPDM lip seal, providing an airtight and reliable connection with round ventilation ducts.

Practical Information

Sound absorption is achieved using glass wool, which is positioned between the inner and outer casing of the silencer. Depending on the model, the wool thickness is 50 mm or 100 mm for the PREMIUM-100 version. The mineral wool is flexible and cut from roll material, allowing it to adapt well to the shape of the silencer and ensuring consistent sound attenuation along the entire length of the product. This guarantees stable damping even with variable airflow and smaller duct dimensions.

Why is the premium variant better than the standard variant?

The premium silencer offers several advantages over the standard silencer, making it better suited for certain applications:

1. Wool thickness: The premium silencer uses 100 mm thick mineral wool cut from roll material. This allows the insulation to better conform to the internal shape of the silencer, providing more uniform sound attenuation.
2. Centre core: For diameters from 315 mm onwards, the premium silencers feature a centre core. This core channels air through a perforated inner tube, increasing the contact of sound waves with the absorption layer. As a result, mid and high frequencies are damped more effectively.
3. More uniform sound reduction: The combination of flexible insulation, precise fitting, and thoughtful construction ensures that the premium variant provides more consistent noise reduction across a wide frequency range. In contrast, the standard variant’s noise reduction may be somewhat less uniform, especially at lower frequencies.
