The Maxivent automatic switchable water coil is an optional accessory designed to extend the horizontal M4523 air handling unit. Constructed from a galvanized steel frame, aluminium fins, copper tubes, and collectors, this automatic switchable water coil, with a capacity of 38.70 kW for heating and 13.06 kW for cooling, ensures excellent thermal conductivity.

Water or a glycol mixture circulates through the copper tubes of the heat exchanger, absorbing or releasing heat to the airflow within the air handling unit. The heat exchanger is supplied by an external source such as a boiler, chiller, or heat pump, providing the coil with hot or cold water. The main advantage, compared to a standard hot or cold water coil, is that the automatic switchable water coil can both cool and heat. Switching between functions is easily managed via a control valve.

The automatic switchable water coil is mounted on the side of the horizontal M4523 air handling unit.
