The Maxivent automatic changeover water coil is an optional accessory designed to extend the horizontal low profile M4512 air handling unit. Constructed from a galvanized steel frame, aluminium fins, copper tubes and headers, the automatic changeover water coil, with a capacity of 12.00 kW for heating and 4.24 kW for cooling, ensures excellent thermal conductivity.

Water or a glycol mixture circulates through the copper tubes of the heat exchanger, absorbing or releasing heat to the airflow within the air handling unit. The heat exchanger is supplied by an external source, such as a boiler, chiller or heat pump, which provides the coil with hot or cold water. The key difference and advantage compared to a standard hot or cold water coil is that the automatic changeover water coil can both cool and heat. Switching between functions is easily controlled via a control valve.

The automatic changeover water coil is mounted on the side of the horizontal low profile M4512 air handling unit.
