The Maxivent automatic switching water coil is an optional accessory designed to expand the horizontal M4512 air handling unit. Constructed from a galvanized steel frame, aluminium fins, copper tubes, and collectors, the automatic switching water coil delivers excellent thermal conductivity, with a capacity of 20.00 kW for heating and 7.44 kW for cooling.
Water or a glycol mixture circulates through the copper tubes of the heat exchanger, absorbing or releasing heat to the airflow inside the air handling unit. The heat exchanger is supplied by an external source, such as a central heating boiler, chiller, or heat pump, which provides the coil with hot or chilled water. The key advantage over a traditional hot or chilled water coil is that the automatic switching water coil can both heat and cool. Switching between these modes is easily managed via a control valve.
The automatic switching water coil is mounted on the side of the horizontal M4512 air handling unit.
