The standard SB20 flange corner is specifically designed for use as part of a corner joint in rectangular air ducts. The flange corner is made of high-quality Sendzimir galvanized steel, providing excellent corrosion resistance and contributing to a long service life. This makes the profile highly suitable for a wide range of applications within ventilation and air handling systems.

Installation

The flange profile is attached directly to the air duct using clinching, spot welding, self-tapping screws, or blind rivets. The cross connections are joined together using screw clamps or cleat strips, maintaining a maximum center-to-center distance of 500 mm. The corners are fastened with galvanized bolts and nuts, for example an M8x25 mm bolt combined with an M8 hex nut, to ensure a strong and durable connection. In the case of a complete cross connection, SB20 flange corners are required, and duct sealing tape can be applied between the cross connections to improve airtightness.

Applications and use

The SB20 flange corner is generally used for duct dimensions up to and including 999 mm. For widths or heights greater than 999 mm, it is recommended to switch to the SB30 flange corner, which is suitable for heavier and larger duct sizes. The flange corner is suitable for use in ventilation systems, air handling units, and HVAC installations.
