The standard SB30 flange corner is specially developed for use as part of a corner joint in rectangular air ducts. The flange corner is made of high-quality Sendzimir galvanized steel, which provides excellent corrosion resistance and contributes to a long service life. This makes the profile extremely suitable for various applications within ventilation and air handling systems.

Installation

The flange profile is attached directly to the air duct by means of clinching, spot welding, self-tapping screws or blind rivets. The mutual connection of the cross joints is made using screw clamps or slip strips, with a maximum centre-to-centre distance of 500 mm. The corners are mounted with galvanized bolts and nuts, for example an M8x25 mm bolt in combination with an M8 hex nut, to ensure a strong and durable connection. In the case of a complete cross joint, SB30 flange corners are required and a duct sealing tape can be applied between the cross joints to improve airtightness.

Applications and use

The SB30 flange corner is generally used for duct widths or heights greater than 999 mm. For duct dimensions up to and including 999 mm, it is recommended to switch to the SB20 flange corner. The flange corner is suitable for ventilation systems, air handling units and HVAC installations.
