The Belimo cable temperature sensor is designed for measuring air and water temperatures in HVAC systems. The sensor can be used in, for example, air ducts or in pipes in combination with an immersion sleeve. The stainless steel probe, which is responsible for measuring the temperature, and the fixed connection cable ensure reliable measurement, while the passive PT1000 element accurately converts the temperature into a resistance signal for control technology. Based on this measured temperature, the controller subsequently operates the system.
The cable temperature sensor can be easily installed in an air duct with a mounting flange or in a pipe with a suitable immersion sleeve. Ensure correct positioning of the probe so it maintains good contact with the medium being measured for representative temperature readings. Due to its passive design, no power supply is required. However, cable resistance must be considered for longer cable runs. The sensor is suitable for use in commercial buildings, residential construction, and industrial HVAC systems.
The sensor features a stainless steel probe measuring 50 mm in length and 6 mm in diameter, providing a compact and easy-to-install measurement solution. The fixed 2-core connection cable of 2 metres allows for a direct and interference-free connection to the controller. This wiring is suitable for reliable transmission of the resistance signal from the PT1000 element. Thanks to this design, the sensor is practical for applications in both air ducts and pipes, where correct probe positioning can be easily achieved.
