The Belimo cable temperature sensor is designed for measuring air and water temperatures in HVAC systems. The sensor can be used, for example, in air ducts or in pipes with a compatible immersion sleeve. The stainless steel probe, responsible for sensing the temperature, and the fixed connection cable ensure reliable measurement, while the passive Ni1000TK5000 element converts the temperature into a resistance signal for control technology. Based on this measured temperature, the system is automatically regulated.
The cable temperature sensor is easy to install in an air duct with a mounting flange or in a pipe using a suitable immersion sleeve. Correct positioning of the probe ensures a representative temperature measurement within the medium. Due to its passive design, no power supply is required. For longer cable lengths, cable resistance should be taken into account. The sensor is suitable for applications in commercial buildings, residential construction, and industrial HVAC systems.
The sensor features a stainless steel probe measuring 50 mm in length and 6 mm in diameter, providing a compact and easy-to-install measurement solution. The fixed, 2-core connection cable of 2 metres allows for direct and interference-free connection to the controller. This cabling is suitable for reliably transmitting the resistance signal from the Ni1000TK5000 element. Thanks to this design, the sensor is practical for use in both air ducts and pipes, with straightforward positioning of the probe.
