airRoxy bathroom extractor fan with 100 mm duct connection, timer and humidity sensor

The airRoxy dRim is a wall-mounted extractor fan for bathrooms, toilets and other small rooms, with an interchangeable decorative front panel. You choose a panel to match your tiles or walls, in glass or plastic and in a wide range of colours and prints. The fan draws in air around the edges of the panel, so all you see from the front is a sleek, closed surface instead of a grille. The airRoxy dRim bathroom fan requires a matching front panel to work correctly.

Benefits and features

  • Interchangeable front panels: The panel clicks onto the front and comes off just as easily. This lets you clean it or give the fan a new look when you redecorate your bathroom.
  • Built-in timer and humidity sensor: The fan runs automatically based on a timer or the humidity level. You can set the humidity sensor between 40 and 80% relative humidity.
  • Ball bearings: The motor runs on ball bearings, giving it a long service life.

Installation, maintenance and applications

You mount the dRim on the wall over a 100 mm duct. This version with timer and sensor is connected with a three-core cable, as it needs a switched live in addition to the permanent supply. The fan is rated IPX2, so install it outside the direct splash zone of the shower or bath. For maintenance, simply unclip the panel and wash it. The dRim is suitable for bathrooms, toilets and utility rooms, as well as other rooms at home or in the office where you want quiet extraction.

Tips to reduce your energy bills with good ventilation
Tips to reduce your energy bills with good ventilation
Energy prices are skyrocketing, and decesion have to be made between eating or heating. It is time to make our homes more sustainable and thus save energy. In summer, our homes use less energy than in winter. In summer you are outside more often and the heating does not have to be switched on. In winter, we often keep the windows closed to keep the heat in, but unfortunately that is when the problems arise. There is no fresh air coming into our well insulated houses. The lack of fresh air leads to high CO2 levels, which in turn leads to various health complaints.

Why do I need to have ventilation in the bathroom
Why do I need to have ventilation in the bathroom
Ventilation is necessary to create a healthy living environment. In damp rooms like the bathroom, good ventilation is extra important. This prevents health problems, but also problems such as strange odours, slipperiness, condensation and moisture problems including mould. Mould mainly grows in damp places and is not always visible. You can get rid of mould with baking soda, bleach or more persistent anti-fungal sprays, but this is only a short-term solution. To prevent mould and tackle it at its cause, it is necessary to ventilate the bathroom all year round. Moist air should especially not linger too long, especially if you like to take nice long showers.
