The Zehnder Group is originally a Swiss company and has a long history. In 1895 Jakob Zehnder opened a workshop in Gränichen (Switzerland). His activities back then were nothing like Zehnder's business activities today. It wasn't until 1930, when Robert Zehnder had invented the tube radiator, that they took a different direction and started focusing more and more on indoor climate solutions. Seven years later, J.E. Stork Ventilatoren was founded in The Hague. Later the trade name was changed to J.E. StorkAir, a name that is still known to many today. After being taken over by the Swiss Zehnder Group, the name was changed to Zehnder in 2015. Meanwhile, the organisation is active worldwide and they are European market leader in the production of special radiators. The organisation is known for its openness to customers, employees, suppliers and competitors.
Zehnder Group Nederland wants to contribute to a pleasant, sustainable and healthy society. Therefore they sponsor a part of their proceeds to the Ronald McDonald Children's Fund in Zwolle. They have also offered their products free of charge for the renovation of a number of bathrooms.
