The Spiro-SAFE premium sound attenuator diameter 100 mm - length 900 mm (100 mm insulation) is a round ventilation sound attenuator made from galvanised steel, specifically designed for use in ventilation and air handling ducts. This attenuator is engineered to effectively reduce noise generated by air flow and mechanical fans, ensuring that noise levels in occupied and technical spaces remain within acceptable limits. Practical information

Sound absorption is achieved through glass wool located between the inner and outer jacket of the attenuator. Depending on the version, the wool thickness is 50 mm or 100 mm for the PREMIUM-100. The mineral wool is flexible and is cut from roll material, allowing it to conform well to the shape of the attenuator, ensuring uniform sound reduction throughout the entire length of the product. 2. Centre core: From diameter 315 onwards, the premium attenuators feature a centre core. The centre core directs the air through a perforated inner tube, increasing the contact of sound waves with the absorption layer. This particularly enhances attenuation of mid- and high-frequency noise.
3. More uniform sound reduction: The combination of flexible insulation, precise fitting, and thoughtful construction ensures that the premium variant provides a more consistent sound reduction across a wide frequency range. The standard variant’s sound attenuation can be somewhat less uniform, especially at lower frequencies.
