The Spiro-SAFE premium sound attenuator diameter 100 mm - length 1200 mm (100 mm insulation) is a circular ventilation sound attenuator made of galvanized steel, specially designed for use in ventilation and air handling ducts. This attenuator is engineered to effectively reduce noise generated by airflow and mechanical fans, ensuring that sound levels in occupied spaces and technical rooms remain within acceptable limits.
The connection of the sound attenuator features male ends (insertion ends) on both sides with integrated double EPDM lip seals, providing an airtight and reliable connection to circular ventilation ducts.

Practical information

Sound absorption is achieved through glass wool placed between the inner and outer casing of the attenuator. Depending on the model, the wool thickness is 50 mm or 100 mm for the PREMIUM-100. 2. Centre core: Starting from diameter 315, premium attenuators are equipped with a centre core. The centre core directs airflow through a perforated inner tube, increasing the contact of sound waves with the absorption layer. This particularly enhances attenuation of mid and high frequencies.
3. More uniform sound reduction: The combination of flexible insulation, secure connections, and thoughtful construction ensures the premium variant provides more consistent sound attenuation across a wide frequency range. The standard variant may show slightly less uniform reduction, especially at lower frequencies.
