Maxivent Automatic Switching Water Coil 6.90 kW Heating, 1.86 kW Cooling - H CCW2

The Maxivent automatic switching water coil is an optional accessory designed to expand the M4004 air handling unit. Constructed from a galvanised steel frame, aluminium fins, copper tubes, and headers, the automatic switching water coil guarantees excellent thermal conductivity, delivering a capacity of 6.90 kW for heating and 1.86 kW for cooling.

Water or a glycol mixture circulates through the copper tubes of the heat exchanger, absorbing or releasing heat to the airflow within the air handling unit. The heat exchanger is supplied by an external source, such as a central heating boiler, chiller, or heat pump, which provides the coil with either hot or cold water. The difference, and indeed an advantage compared to a standard hot or cold water coil, is that the automatic switching water coil can both cool and heat. Switching between functions is easily managed via a control valve.

The automatic switching water coil is mounted on the side of the M4004 air handling unit.
