The Maxivent automatic changeover water coil is an optional accessory designed to extend the M4004 air handling unit. Constructed from a galvanised steel frame, aluminium fins, copper tubes, and headers, the automatic changeover water coil offers excellent thermal conductivity with a capacity of 4.48 kW for heating and 1.50 kW for cooling.

Water or a glycol mixture circulates through the copper tubes of the heat exchanger, absorbing or releasing heat to the airflow within the air handling unit. This heat exchanger is supplied by an external source such as a boiler, chiller, or heat pump that provides the coil with hot or cold water. The key advantage of the automatic changeover water coil compared to a traditional hot or cold water coil is its ability to both heat and cool, with easy switching between these functions via a control valve.

The automatic changeover water coil is mounted on the side of the M4004 air handling unit.
