The Maxivent automatic changeover water coil is an optional accessory designed to expand the M4027 air handling unit. Constructed from a galvanized steel frame, aluminium fins, copper tubes, and collectors, the automatic changeover water coil delivers excellent thermal conductivity with a capacity of 28.50 kW for heating and 8.37 kW for cooling.

Water or a glycol mixture circulates through the copper tubes of the heat exchanger, absorbing or releasing heat to the airflow within the air handling unit. The heat exchanger is supplied by an external source, such as a boiler, chiller, or heat pump, which provides the coil with hot or chilled water. The key advantage of the automatic changeover water coil compared to a standard hot or chilled water coil is its ability to both cool and heat. Switching between functions is easily managed via a control valve.
