The Maxivent automatic changeover water coil is an optional accessory for expanding the M4020 air handling unit. Constructed from a galvanized steel frame, aluminium fins, copper tubes, and headers, the automatic changeover water coil, with a capacity of 19.30 kW for heating and 4.14 kW for cooling, ensures excellent thermal conductivity.

Water or a glycol mixture circulates through the copper tubes of the heat exchanger, absorbing or releasing heat into the airflow within the air handling unit. The heat exchanger is supplied by an external source, such as a central heating boiler, chiller, or heat pump, which provides the coil with hot or cold water. The difference and advantage compared to a standard hot or chilled water coil is that the automatic changeover water coil can both heat and cool. Switching between functions is easily controlled via a control valve.

The automatic changeover water coil is mounted on the side of the M4020 air handling unit.
