Heat-resistant box fans are a special type of fan designed to continuously exhaust hot air, up to a temperature of 120 degrees Celsius. This makes these box fans particularly suitable for use as extraction in commercial kitchens, where high temperatures in the exhaust air are common.
Because the motor is not placed in the airflow, unlike other fans, it is not exposed to the high temperatures of the exhausted air. This allows for ventilation even at warm ambient temperatures. While a standard fan would cease to function at these temperatures and would be unable to exhaust heat, this is not a problem for a heat-resistant box fan.
To ensure that your box fan continues to operate effectively, it is important to regularly remove dust and dirt, including from the fan blades. You should also regularly check for loose parts. The motor is equipped with electronic temperature monitoring. This automatically prevents the motor from burning out.
