Installation (spiro) tubes and mounting tips
At Ventilatieland we have many different pipes and fittings in our assortment. But how do you assemble the (spiro)tubes, ducts and fittings? We try to explain that here as well as we can. Are you still not quite there? Please contact our expert customer service, they will be happy to help you.
(Spiral) tube assembly
Of course, in order to connect the pipes and fittings, it is not convenient if they all have the same diameter, say 100 mm. Therefore, although the pipes have a diameter of 100 mm, the fittings (everything except the pipe) are just a little smaller, in this case about 98 mm. This way you can easily slide them together.
- To attach two tubes to each other, you need a plug-in connector.
- To attach two fittings to each other, you need a connecting sleeve.
- A tube and a connector can be attached to each other like this.
A connection socket is actually a short piece of pipe. A plug joint is smaller and so goes into a tube.
The connection of a fan is called either steekeind or channel end. The type of connection can be found under the specifications at 'Connection'.
- Side end: no plug connection needed, a tube can be directly attached to the fan.
- Channel end: does require plug connection because the diameter is the same as the tube.
All fittings in this category have a SAFE connection (sealing rubber), so you can be sure that your connection is airtight. No tape or sealant is needed.
To fix the spiro tubes securely, you can use the suspension brackets with rubber.
