Product description

EnviSense CO2 Monitor

Care for good air quality in your home, school or office with the advanced EnviSense CO2 meter. In addition to the CO2 value, the CO2 monitor also measures the temperature and humidity in the room. This way you are always aware of your indoor climate and know when to ventilate the room(s).

The EnviSense CO2 meter is easy to use and by ventilating at the right time you prevent poor air quality in your living space. The CO2 meter indicates the CO2 value, temperature and humidity via a clear screen and is therefore suitable for quick measurements at home or in the office, but also in schools or nurseries!

The CO2 meter is equipped with an LCD screen and 3 LEDs in the colours green, yellow and red. These are the indicators for the present CO2 content. The CO2 content is measured in parts per million, the humidity in percent and the temperature in degrees Celsius. If the CO2 content is too high an alarm will go off, you can switch it on and off yourself. The graph on the display shows the course of the CO2 content, so you can see how the CO2 value has changed over the past minutes, hours or days. You can set this yourself using the buttons on the device.

Note: The buttons do not have to be pressed, the monitor already responds when you place your finger on the button! If you press the buttons too hard, the device will not function properly.

Place the CO2 meter at table height in a place where it is not directly breathed in, at least 1.5 to 2 metres from the wall or window. The device is suitable for a room up to ± 100 m2. When the sensor is switched on for the first time, it will need some time to calibrate itself properly. The carbon dioxide meter is self-calibrating and self-learning and will therefore become more accurate when switched on for a longer period of time.

Very useful clear display with warning light when CO2 gets on the high side. Has made me think differently about how many people are in a room - invaluable back up when seeing patients face to face

Ask a Question

What is the difference between repeatability and accuracy?

The accuracy of EnviSense is how close the readings are to the real value if we measure 1 time. The margin the EnviSense has is ±50 ppm or 5% (take the maximum). The readings of the EnviSense can be, for example, between 350 and 450 ppm CO2 if the real value is 400 ppm CO2.

The repeatability of the EnviSense includes the value it should give if we measure multiple times. The value of 2nd measurement should always be the same as the 1st , with a maximum of 5% deviation. So if we measure 1000ppm the first time, this should be between 950 and 1050 ppm CO2 the 2nd time.

In total EnviSense can deviate a maximum of 10% from the real value. However, this are extreme values and are highly unlikely to occur.

How does the automatic calibration of the EnviSense work?

The EnviSense has Automatic Baseline Correction (ABC). This means that the EnviSense itself calibrates to the correct values. When the device is switched on, it measures the lowest value over a given time interval. The lowest value will usually occur when there are no people present which results in an amount of CO2 in the air that is comparable to the outside air. For a period of 7 days, it adjusts the zero point (400 ppm) in the EnviSense to the lowest value measured each time. This is assumed to be 400 ppm CO2, which is a normal value for the outside air. This makes the device smarter and it will be able to indicate better when it is necessary to ventilate.

The EnviSense also remembers this value when the power is briefly interrupted. Therefore it is no problem to move the EnviSense indoors, for example.

Can the backlight of the display stay on continuously?

No, this is not possible. The backlight can be activated by tapping enter or menu, it will remain on for 30 seconds. The screen can also be read without backlighting.

Where should I place the EnviSense CO2 monitor?

The CO2 monitor measures the concentration where the sensor is placed.This concentration can vary in different areas of a room. We therefore recommend the following:

- Place the monitor at table height, not on the floor or wall;
- 1.5 - 2 metres from the wall or window;
- Area of up to 100 m2;
- Not in a place where you breathe in directly, such as directly in front of your face on a desk.

My EnviSense is displaying the error message E1. What should I do?

With an E1 message, the sensor has come loose from the main board. This may be because the CO2 meter has been dropped. However, the problem is easily solved. Would you prefer us to repair the EnviSense CO2 monitor for you? Send your device back to us and mention that the device shows an E1 message.

The video below shows you how to solve the E1 error.
