Ventilating a farm
In barns housing poultry or cows, it is important to ventilate properly. Moisture, gases or other harmful substances such as ammonia and CO2 can build up in these places. Fans are important in order to get fresh air into all corners of the barn. This is often done by hanging multiple fans such as axial fans or tube fans in different corners to create air flows that pass over the animals.
Advantages of agricultural ventilation
Ventilation in barns ensures that the gases and substances that are emitted are discharged outdoors. This ensures that people also have a safe working environment. Ventilation also provides cooling in the hotter summer months. As a result, the animals suffer less from heat stress and their production remains at the same level. Ventilators also provide a dry soil that gives germs less opportunity to multiply. With these barn equipment you ensure good animal welfare and a safe working environment.

Frequently asked questions about agricultural industry ventilation
There are no clear requirements for ventilation in a barn except that animals should get enough fresh air. However, there are good guidelines to follow. In order to ventilate stables properly, you must provide for sufficient exchange of air. The guideline for this is often 1m³/hr per kg body weight of the animals. This can also vary per ventilation technique and animal species.
