Ventilation in the workspace
A large part of our time is spent at work. Whether you work at home or in the office, good quality air has a positive impact on your productivity. Poor ventilation can lead to, among other things:
- Concentrations problems;
- Airway problems;
- Headaches and feeling groggy.
This can increase absenteeism within your organization. Good ventilation is therefore essential. Contact us for advice, order directly or request a quote.
Office ventilation categories
How do you ensure adequate ventilation in your workspace?
What is the air quality within your office space? By using a CO2 meter you can see what the current status is. If you do not have one, it is a good idea to open the windows for at least 15 minutes every hour. We also recommend mechanical ventilation 24/7. If the CO2 still rises too high then the ventilation system or WTW system is not properly set or it is time for maintenance. If the filters are not replaced in time then the ventilation system is no longer working at full capacity. Then it is time for maintenance.
Ventilation systems at the office
Which ventilation system is most suitable for your office space? To determine this, it is necessary to calculate the ventilation requirements of the office space. This involves looking at the size and the (max) number of people in the room. This needs to be calculated per room. Contact us if you need help.
Heat recovery unit for the office
Which heat recovery unit is most suitable for your office depends on the desired capacity and installation options. Often a HRS requires extensive renovation, which is why there are also powerful decentralized HRS systems such as the Orcon WTU. These can be easily installed above the ceiling without a complicated duct system.
Ventilation at your home office
Good ventilation is also necessary at your home workplace. Often you cannot see how polluted the air becomes, only with a CO2 meter you can see how quickly the air becomes unhealthy. Healthy air ensures that you can concentrate well and that you do not get headaches or a tired feeling. Good ventilation at your home workplace can be achieved, for example, by:
- Mechanical ventilation that provides clean air to the entire house;
- A decentralized WTW that allows you to ventilate one room with heat recovery;
- Keeping the existing ventilation system clean.
Order office ventilation with a business account

Of course it is also possible to order without a business account. For information and registration, see the page Business ordering on account.
Frequently asked questions about industrial ventilation
Proper heating, cooling and ventilation: the basis for employee productivity and comfort. Enough oxygen and clean air are the most important here. The Health and Safety Executive advises a minimum air exchange rate of 30 m³/hour per person for light physically strenuous work and 50 m³/hour for physically more strenuous work. An installer can help you with the ventilation calculation, or you can contact us.
Fresh air may come in either by a natural way or by a mechanical way. That is, through open windows, doors and grilles and/or by using a ventilation system. This should not lead to annoying drafts. Do you think that the workplace is not ventilated well enough? Then simply measure this with a CO2 meter. This can be taken anywhere and works immediately. You can intervene immediately by ventilating naturally or mechanically.
Air quality includes CO2 levels, humidity and temperature. Dirt particles such as (fine) dust, pollen and bacteria also cause the air quality to deteriorate. An air quality meter measures how healthy the air is. This can be a CO2 monitor or the Aeros particle meter, which also measures CO2. With the right ventilation and air purification you ensure healthy air in the office. Ventilation can be both natural and mechanical, but with open windows pollen can enter more quickly.
Ideally, the humidity level should be between 40% and 60% RH. This is considered to be comfortable. Air that is too dry causes dry and tired eyes and skin irritations. In moist air, mold and microorganisms are more likely to develop, which can lead to allergic reactions, headaches and coughs, among other things. Ventilation removes moist air. In addition to heat recovery, there is also moisture recovery with an enthalpy exchanger. Humidifiers can also provide a solution for air that is too dry. If the air is too humid, make sure that the room is properly ventilated.
