At Ventilationland, sustainability and the climate are high on the agenda. Our operations are 100% CO₂ offset. But we don't stop there. We strive to contribute to a more sustainable world wherever possible. On this page, we show you exactly how we do that and which green initiatives we undertake.
Planting trees in the Katingan Mentaya moorland in Indonesia!
The Katingan Mentaya peatland is located in the Indonesian part of Borneo and is currently the scene of a multi-faceted project with significant benefits for local communities. The initiative provides sustainable sources of income, enabling residents to earn a living. By protecting and restoring the peatland ecosystems, important natural resources such as clean water and fertile soils are preserved. Moreover, the project promotes collaboration between communities, government and industry to encourage sustainable agricultural practices, which in turn contributes to long-term economic stability and improving livelihoods. We are proud to contribute to this wonderful project on behalf of Ventilationland.
Our sustainably built building has 409 solar panels
As a result, we constantly enjoy energy generated in a sustainable way, while saving significantly on our energy bills every month! On an annual basis, our solar panels generate a total of 116,000 kWh. This equates to the benefits of planting 294 trees, an impressive CO2 reduction of 18,570 kg and the ability to charge 2.2 million phones. Since 2019, a total of 409 solar panels cover the majority of our roof. Moreover, our premises were completely built with sustainability in mind and have a green certificate.
Our air ducts have the LUKA airtightness class D certificate!
In all our in-house manufactured ventilation products, we strive for maximum energy efficiency. An excellent example of this is our air ducts. Since 1 March 2024, these have been certified with the LUKA airtightness class D according to the EN-EN 15727 standard.The high airtightness of our air ducts, bends, fittings and accessories minimises air loss, making our ventilation systems and installationseven more energy-efficient. Naturally, we are proud that our in-house produced air ducts and accessories meet all quality requirements.
