This ventilation duct from Thermoduct features a galvanised metal tube with an outer layer of thermal insulation material with a 13 mm closed-cell structure.
The Thermoduct insulated ventilation duct is ideally suited for supply and extract air connections such as those found in HRV units and air handling systems. The Thermoduct insulated duct and accessories are developed and manufactured by Econox.
Prefab solution
Thermoduct is the prefab solution for installing insulated, low-noise, and energy-efficient ventilation. The ventilation duct comes factory insulated, ensuring easier installation. This also results in shorter installation times, making it cost-effective.
Reduction of heat loss and prevention of condensation
Thermoduct is an air duct system with a high-quality thermal insulating jacket. The jacket reduces heat loss, and due to the 13 mm closed-cell structure, water vapour transmission is prevented. Thermoduct compensates for temperature differences between indoor and outdoor air, effectively minimising condensation.
Ease of installation
Thermoduct guarantees airtight installation. Thermoduct products come standard with sealing rubber and closing bands, allowing Thermoduct accessories to achieve airtightness class D or ATC 2. Thanks to the secure connection with rubber seals and convenient vapour-tight closing bands, no additional sealing tape is required. Additionally, the inner duct is galvanically treated, making it easy to clean.
Noise reduction
Thanks to the acoustic properties of the insulating jacket, noise is reduced within the ventilation ducts, resulting in a low-noise ventilation system. This makes it the perfect solution for installations that comply with the stringent noise requirements of the 2012 Building Regulations (max. 30dB(A)).
