Galvanized insulated cover - 170mm x 80mm

This galvanized insulated cover with dimensions 170mm x 80mm has an insertion end that falls directly over a duct, without the need for an additional connector to connect this cover to an insertion duct.

Insertion ducts are ventilation ducts that are integrated into a floor or concrete to allow air distribution or extraction in buildings. These flexible products are designed to be invisible and are commonly used in new construction and renovation projects. Furthermore, an intake duct can be used in walls, floors and/or ceilings. Combined with a straight trunking duct and various fittings, a ventilation duct can be constructed as desired. Both round and rectangular trunking are available. Some of the benefits of inlet ducts include: efficient airflow, space saving, noise reduction and design flexibility.

Product Specifications

Our insulated inlet air ducts are specifically designed for use in residential construction and floors equivalent to residential construction. In addition, these durable products are manufactured from high quality galvanized steel. This steel is provided with a corrosion-resistant zinc coating, applied using the reliable Sendzimir process, where a two-sided zinc coating is applied. This guarantees a robust and durable protection against corrosion, in accordance with the standards NEN-EN 10346 and NEN-EN 10143.

Depending on the dimensions of the air duct, we choose the most suitable sheet thickness to ensure strength and functionality. A sheet thickness of 0.5 mm is used for trunkings in the dimension 170x80 mm, while the larger dimensions such as 220x80 mm and 300x80 mm are carried out in a 0.6 mm sheet. The transverse joints in rectangular pour-in ducts are implemented as sliding joints, using a coupler. These joints are securely fastened with self-drilling screws. To prevent water or cement from entering the air duct, the joints are finished with PVC tape. Longitudinal joints are performed in a flanged or spot welded connection .
