The Spiro-SAFE sound attenuator diameter 560 mm - length 1200 mm (100 mm insulation) is a round ventilation sound attenuator made of galvanized steel, specially designed for use in ventilation and air handling ducts. This attenuator is engineered to effectively reduce noise caused by airflow and mechanical fans, keeping sound levels in living and technical spaces within acceptable limits. \nThe connections at both ends of the sound attenuator feature a male spigot with an integrated double EPDM lip seal, ensuring an airtight and reliable connection with round ventilation ducts.

Practical information

Sound absorption is achieved through glass wool located between the inner and outer shells of the attenuator. Depending on the model, the wool thickness is 50 mm or 100 mm for the PREMIUM-100. The mineral wool is flexible and cut from roll material, allowing it to conform well to the shape of the attenuator and guaranteeing uniform noise reduction along the entire length of the product. This ensures consistent attenuation even with variable airflow and smaller duct dimensions.

1. Wool thickness: The premium sound attenuator uses 100 mm thick mineral wool cut from rolls, allowing the insulation to better conform to the internal shape of the attenuator and provide more uniform noise attenuation.
2. Central core: From diameter 315 onwards, the premium attenuators feature a central core. This core directs airflow through a perforated inner tube, increasing the interaction between sound waves and the absorption layer, which improves attenuation of mid and high frequencies.
3. More uniform noise reduction: The combination of flexible insulation, precise fitting, and thoughtful construction ensures the premium version delivers more consistent noise reduction across a wide frequency range. The standard version may provide slightly less uniform attenuation, particularly at lower frequencies.
