The Spiro-SAFE sound attenuator diameter 450 mm - length 600 mm (100 mm insulation) is a round ventilation sound attenuator made from galvanised steel, specifically designed for use in ventilation and air handling ducts. 1. Wool thickness: The premium attenuator uses 100 mm thick mineral wool cut from roll material, enabling the insulation to better conform to the inner shape of the attenuator and providing a more uniform sound attenuation.
2. Centre core: From diameter 315 upwards, the premium attenuators are equipped with a centre core. This core directs airflow through a perforated inner tube, increasing the contact between sound waves and the absorption layer. This particularly enhances attenuation of mid and high frequencies.
3. More uniform sound reduction: The combination of flexible insulation, precise connections, and thoughtful construction ensures the premium variant delivers more consistent noise reduction across a broad frequency range. The standard variant may have less uniform attenuation, especially at lower frequencies.
