The Spiro-SAFE premium sound attenuator diameter 630 mm - length 900 mm with core (100 mm insulation) is a round ventilation sound attenuator made from galvanized steel, specifically designed for use in ventilation and air handling ducts. This attenuator is engineered to effectively reduce noise caused by airflow and mechanical fans, ensuring the noise level in living and technical spaces remains within acceptable limits. The connections of the sound attenuator feature male (insertion) ends on both sides with integrated double EPDM lip seals, creating an airtight and reliable connection with round ventilation ducts.

Practical information

Sound absorption is achieved by means of glass wool located between the inner and outer casing of the attenuator. 1. Wool thickness: The premium sound attenuator uses 100 mm thick mineral wool cut from rolls. This allows the insulation to better conform to the internal shape of the attenuator, providing a more uniform sound attenuation.
2. Central core: From diameter 315 mm upwards, the premium attenuators feature a core in the centre. This core directs airflow through a perforated inner tube, which increases the contact of sound waves with the absorption layer. As a result, mid and high frequencies are dampened more effectively.
3. More uniform sound reduction: The combination of flexible insulation, secure connection, and thoughtful design ensures the premium variant offers consistent sound attenuation across a broad frequency range. The standard variant may exhibit less uniform sound reduction, particularly at lower frequencies.
