The Solara bathroom fan with heat mover is a multifunctional fan designed for bathrooms and other humid areas such as toilets and utility rooms. This fan is suitable for daily ventilation as well as for transferring excess heat to an adjacent room. Thanks to the built-in electronic thermostat, the Solara can actively transfer warm air, for example originating from a wood stove, through a wall or floor duct. The fan is suitable for both wall and ceiling mounting and is designed for use in wet environments with an IP44 rating.

Performance and Practical Use

In practice, the Solara operates at a constant base ventilation rate of 40 m³/h, ensuring continuous air renewal without disruptive noise. At the low setting, the noise level is as low as 17 dB(A), making the fan virtually silent during normal use. When additional ventilation is required, the fan automatically switches to a higher speed up to a maximum of 95 m³/h or, depending on the selected mode, up to 110 m³/h. The self-calibrating motor automatically adjusts the speed to maintain a stable airflow and minimise drafts, while the maximum power consumption remains limited to 3 watts.

Installation, Maintenance and Applications

The Solara is designed for fixed installation and is connected to a 230V power supply. The fan is suitable for mounting on both walls and ceilings and can be connected to Ø100 and Ø125 mm ducting. With an optional wall plate, connection up to Ø160 mm is also possible. The motor unit features a bayonet fitting, allowing for easy removal for cleaning or changing the ventilation mode. For heat mover applications, the fan is installed in a partition wall or between floors. Periodic maintenance is straightforward by cleaning the impeller and duct with a damp cloth. The open design and removable impeller contribute to long-lasting and stable operation.
