The Maxivent by Econox reversible DX coil is an optional accessory for extending the M4012 air handling unit, right-hand version. Constructed with a galvanized steel frame, aluminium fins, copper tubes, and headers, the DX coil delivers excellent thermal conductivity and a corrosion-resistant casing, with a capacity of 6.63 kW for heating and 6.92 kW for cooling.

A refrigerant (e.g. R410A or R32) circulates through the copper tubes of the heat exchanger, exchanging heat with the airflow inside the air handling unit via evaporation or condensation. The key advantage compared to a hot or chilled water coil is that the reversible DX coil can both cool and heat directly using the refrigerant. No intermediate medium (such as water or glycol) is required for heat transfer, allowing for a more compact installation with reduced heat loss.

The reversible DX coil module is mounted on the side of the M4012 air handling unit.
