The Maxivent by Econox reversible DX coil is an optional accessory to extend the M4007 air handling unit, left-hand version. Constructed from a galvanized steel frame, aluminium fins, copper tubes and collectors, the DX coil, with a capacity of 3.80 kW heating and 4.04 kW cooling, guarantees excellent thermal conductivity and a corrosion-resistant casing.

A refrigerant (e.g. R410A or R32) circulates through the copper tubes of the heat exchanger, exchanging heat with the airflow inside the air handling unit by evaporating or condensing. The difference and advantage compared to a hot or chilled water coil is that the reversible DX coil can both cool and heat and works directly with the refrigerant. No intermediary medium (such as water or glycol) is needed for heat transfer, keeping the installation compact and reducing heat losses.

The reversible DX coil module is mounted on the side of the M4007 air handling unit.
