The Maxivent by Econox reversible DX coil is an optional accessory designed to expand the MR4565 air handling unit, right-hand configuration. Constructed from a galvanized steel frame, aluminium fins, copper tubes, and headers, the DX coil offers excellent thermal conductivity and a corrosion-resistant casing, with a capacity of 40.43 kW for heating and 40.92 kW for cooling.

A refrigerant (e.g. R410A or R32) circulates through the copper tubes of the heat exchanger, exchanging heat with the airflow inside the air handling unit via evaporation or condensation. The key difference—and advantage—compared to a hot or chilled water coil is that the reversible DX coil can both heat and cool and operates directly with the refrigerant. No intermediate medium (such as water or glycol) is required for heat transfer, which keeps the installation compact and minimises heat loss.

The reversible DX coil module is mounted on the side of the MR4565 air handling unit.
