The Maxivent by Econox reversible DX coil is an optional accessory to extend the MR4512 air handling unit, right-hand version. Constructed from a galvanized steel frame, aluminium fins, copper tubes, and manifolds, the DX coil boasts a capacity of 45.28 kW for heating and 7.68 kW for cooling, ensuring excellent thermal conductivity and a corrosion-resistant casing.

A refrigerant (e.g. R410A or R32) circulates through the copper tubes of the heat exchanger, exchanging heat with the airflow inside the air handling unit through evaporation or condensation. The key difference and advantage compared to a traditional hot or chilled water coil is that the reversible DX coil can both cool and heat, operating directly with the refrigerant. This eliminates the need for an intermediate medium (such as water or glycol), resulting in a more compact installation with reduced heat loss.

The reversible DX coil module is mounted on the side of the MR4512 air handling unit.
