Maxivent Reversible DX Coil for M4540 Horizontal Right - CCDX1R
The Maxivent by Econox reversible DX coil is an optional accessory designed to expand the M4540 air handling unit, horizontal right configuration. Constructed from a galvanized steel frame, aluminium fins, copper tubes, and headers, the DX coil guarantees excellent thermal conductivity and a corrosion-resistant casing, with a capacity of 24.16 kW in heating mode and 25.74 kW in cooling mode.
A refrigerant (e.g. R410A or R32) circulates through the copper tubes of the heat exchanger, exchanging heat with the airflow inside the air handling unit via evaporation or condensation. The key difference and advantage over a traditional hot or chilled water coil is that the reversible DX coil can both cool and heat, operating directly with the refrigerant. No intermediary fluid (such as water or glycol) is required for heat transfer, allowing for a more compact installation and reduced heat losses.
The reversible DX coil module is mounted on the side of the horizontal M4540 air handling unit.
