The Maxivent by Econox reversible DX coil is an optional accessory designed to extend the M4540 air handling unit, horizontal low profile right version. Constructed with a galvanized steel frame, aluminium fins, copper tubes, and headers, the DX coil, offering a capacity of 24.14 kW for heating and 25.29 kW for cooling, ensures excellent thermal conductivity and a corrosion-resistant casing.
A refrigerant (e.g., R410A or R32) circulates through the copper tubes of the heat exchanger, exchanging heat with the airflow inside the air handling unit via evaporation or condensation. The key difference and advantage compared to a hot or chilled water coil is that the reversible DX coil can both cool and heat directly using the refrigerant. No intermediate medium (such as water or glycol) is required for heat transfer, keeping the installation compact and reducing thermal losses.
The reversible DX coil module is mounted on the side of the horizontal low profile M4540 air handling unit.
