The Maxivent automatic switching water coil is an optional accessory designed to extend the MR4545 air handling unit. Constructed from a galvanized steel frame, aluminium fins, copper tubes and headers, the automatic switching water coil, with a capacity of 75.40 kW heating and 27.94 kW cooling, ensures excellent thermal conductivity.
Water or a glycol mixture circulates through the copper tubes of the heat exchanger, absorbing or releasing heat to the airflow within the air handling unit. The heat exchanger is supplied by an external source, such as a boiler, chiller or heat pump, which provides the coil with hot or chilled water. A key advantage compared to a standard heating or cooling coil is that the automatic switching water coil can both cool and heat. Switching between functions is easily controlled via a control valve.
The automatic switching water coil is mounted on the side of the MR4545 air handling unit.
