The Maxivent automatic switching water coil is an optional accessory designed to extend the horizontal low profile M4540 air handling unit. Constructed from a galvanized steel frame, aluminium fins, copper tubes, and collectors, the automatic switching water coil—with a capacity of 69.30 kW for heating and 26.53 kW for cooling—ensures excellent thermal conductivity.
Water or a glycol mixture circulates through the copper tubes of the heat exchanger, absorbing or releasing heat to the airflow inside the air handling unit. The heat exchanger is supplied by an external source, such as a boiler, chiller, or heat pump, which provides the coil with hot or cold water. The key advantage of the automatic switching water coil over a standard hot or chilled water coil is its ability to both cool and heat. Switching between functions is easily controlled via a regulating valve.
The automatic switching water coil is mounted on the side of the horizontal low profile M4540 air handling unit.
