The Maxivent automatic switching water coil is an optional accessory for expanding the MR4535 air handling unit. Composed of a galvanised steel frame, aluminium fins, copper tubes, and collectors, the automatic switching water coil, with a capacity of 58.40 kW for heating and 19.49 kW for cooling, ensures excellent thermal conductivity.
Water or a glycol mixture circulates through the copper tubes of the heat exchanger, absorbing or releasing heat to the airflow inside the air handling unit. The heat exchanger is supplied by an external source, such as a boiler, chiller, or heat pump, which provides the coil with hot or cold water. The key difference, and an advantage compared to a standard hot- or cold-water coil, is that the automatic switching water coil can both cool and heat. Switching between functions is easily controlled via a regulating valve.
The automatic switching water coil is mounted on the side of the MR4535 air handling unit.
