The Maxivent automatic switch-over water coil is an optional accessory to extend the MR4528 air handling unit. Constructed from a galvanized steel frame, aluminium fins, copper tubes, and headers, the automatic switch-over water coil, with a capacity of 45.50 kW for heating and 17.10 kW for cooling, ensures excellent thermal conductivity.
Water or a glycol mixture circulates through the copper tubes of the heat exchanger, absorbing or releasing heat to the airflow within the air handling unit. The heat exchanger is supplied by an external source, such as a boiler, chiller, or heat pump, which provides the coil with hot or chilled water. The key difference and advantage compared to a traditional hot or chilled water coil is that the automatic switch-over water coil can both cool and heat. Switching between functions is easily managed via a control valve.
The automatic switch-over water coil is mounted on the side of the MR4528 air handling unit.
