The Maxivent automatic switch-over water coil is an optional accessory designed to expand the MR4521 air handling unit. Constructed from a galvanized steel frame, aluminium fins, copper tubes, and headers, the automatic switch-over water coil, with a capacity of 37.20 kW for heating and 14.23 kW for cooling, guarantees excellent thermal conductivity.
Water or a glycol mixture circulates through the copper tubes of the heat exchanger, absorbing or releasing heat to the airstream in the air handling unit. The heat exchanger is supplied by an external source, such as a boiler, chiller, or heat pump, which provides the coil with hot or cold water. The difference, and an advantage compared to a standard hot or chilled water coil, is that the automatic switch-over water coil can both cool and heat. Switching between functions is easily managed via a control valve.
The automatic switch-over water coil is mounted on the side of the MR4521 air handling unit.
