The Maxivent automatic changeover water coil is an optional accessory designed to extend the horizontal M4516 air handling unit. Constructed from a galvanized steel frame, aluminium fins, copper tubes, and collectors, this automatic changeover water coil—with a capacity of 27.40 kW for heating and 8.38 kW for cooling—ensures excellent thermal conductivity.
Water or a glycol mixture circulates through the copper tubes of the heat exchanger, absorbing or releasing heat to the airflow within the air handling unit. The heat exchanger is supplied by an external source such as a boiler, chiller, or heat pump, which provides the coil with hot or chilled water. The key advantage compared to a standard heating or cooling coil is that the automatic changeover water coil can both heat and cool. Switching between these functions is easily controlled via a control valve.
The automatic changeover water coil is mounted on the side of the horizontal M4516 air handling unit.
