The Maxivent automatic switching water coil is an optional accessory designed to extend the horizontal low profile M4516 air handling unit. Constructed from a galvanized steel frame, aluminium fins, copper tubes, and headers, the automatic switching water coil offers excellent thermal conductivity with a capacity of 27.40 kW for heating and 8.38 kW for cooling.
Water or a glycol mixture circulates through the copper tubes of the heat exchanger, absorbing or releasing heat to the airflow within the air handling unit. The heat exchanger is supplied by an external source, such as a boiler, chiller, or heat pump, which provides the coil with hot or cold water. The primary advantage of this automatic switching water coil compared to a standard hot or chilled water coil is its ability to both heat and cool. Switching between these functions is easily managed via a control valve.
The automatic switching water coil is mounted on the side of the horizontal low profile M4516 air handling unit.
