The Maxivent automatic switching water battery is an optional accessory designed to extend the MR4512 air handling unit. Constructed from a galvanised steel frame, aluminium fins, copper tubes, and collectors, the automatic switching water battery, with a capacity of 20.10 kW for heating and 7.62 kW for cooling, ensures excellent thermal conductivity.
Water or a glycol mixture circulates through the copper tubes of the heat exchanger, absorbing or releasing heat to the airflow within the air handling unit. The heat exchanger is supplied by an external source, such as a boiler, chiller, or heat pump, which provides the battery with hot or cold water. The difference and advantage compared to a single hot or cold water coil is that the automatic switching water battery can both cool and heat. Switching between functions is easily controlled via a control valve.
The automatic switching water battery is mounted on the side of the MR4512 air handling unit.
