The Maxivent Automatic Changeover Water Coil is an optional accessory designed to extend the horizontal M4516 air handling unit. Constructed from a galvanized steel frame, aluminium fins, copper tubes, and headers, the automatic changeover water coil guarantees excellent thermal conductivity with a capacity of 16.90 kW for heating and 5.29 kW for cooling.
Water or a glycol mixture circulates through the copper tubes of the heat exchanger, absorbing or releasing heat to the airflow within the air handling unit. The heat exchanger is supplied by an external source, such as a boiler, chiller, or heat pump, which provides the coil with hot or cold water. The key difference—and advantage—compared to a traditional hot or cold water coil is that the automatic changeover water coil can both cool and heat. Switching between functions is easily controlled via a modulating valve.
The automatic changeover water coil is mounted on the side of the horizontal M4516 air handling unit.
