The Maxivent automatic changeover water coil is an optional accessory designed to extend the horizontal low-profile M4516 air handling unit. Constructed from a galvanized steel frame, aluminium fins, copper tubes, and headers, this automatic changeover water coil provides excellent thermal conductivity, with a capacity of 16.90 kW for heating and 5.29 kW for cooling.
Water or a glycol mixture circulates through the copper tubes of the heat exchanger, absorbing or releasing heat to the air stream within the air handling unit. The heat exchanger is supplied by an external source such as a central heating boiler, chiller, or heat pump, which provides the coil with hot or chilled water. A key advantage over standard hot or chilled water coils is that the automatic changeover water coil can both heat and cool. Switching between these functions is easily managed via a control valve.
The automatic changeover water coil is mounted on the side of the horizontal low-profile M4516 air handling unit.
