DucoBox Focus

The DucoBox Focus is an extraction fan that provides central extraction within Mechanical Ventilation - System C units. With its patented internal control valves, the DucoBox Focus ensures zonal removal of polluted and/or moist air. The unit can be used up to 400 m3/h at 150Pa for demand controlled domestic applications with an easy programming.

The extractor fan is both the motor of the system and the master unit to which control components can be connected. Thanks to intelligent measurements based on CO2 and/or humidity, ventilation only takes place where and when needed and in the right quantity!

Patented system of integrated valves

The DucoBox Focus has seven connections (ø 125 mm) as standard, all of which can optionally be fitted with damper control. This damper can be integrated very quickly and easily into the extractor box itself. This means that, once the valves are installed and the extractor fan is fully closed, nothing is visible from the outside. Moreover, the DucoBox adjusts the dampers very quickly and efficiently. All seven dampers can be adjusted in just four minutes.

The discharge rates of all valves are pre-set as standard according to the applicable requirements per room, but can also be adjusted manually by the installer if required. Once the dampers are installed and the exhaust fan is fully shut off, there is nothing visible from the outside.

One DucoBox Focus, 11 zones

With one ventilation box, you can ventilate up to 11 rooms thanks to the additional manifold with 2 control valves. This way, the application possibilities are larger and ventilation is only provided where needed. The Control Valves manifold offers the possibility to duplicate connection nozzles on the DucoBox Focus. This allows a zonal ventilation system to be built up to a maximum of 11 connections (of which a maximum of 7 connections with a CO2 control valve).

The connector supplied allows the wiring of these control valves to be simply looped through to the DucoBox Focus. And this, as always within the DUCO systems, invisibly and behind the lid.

Thanks to the addition of an intelligent control board, it works with a patented control valve system in the outlet box itself. Moreover, all acoustic features integrated in the DucoBox Silent also apply as standard to the DucoBox Focus.

Energy-efficient ventilation where and when needed and in the right amount

Each connection can be fitted with a control valve (CO2 Control Valve or Moisture Control Valve) for measurement in the air flow. It is also possible to integrate a Sensorless Control Valve. All ‘dry rooms’ can be fitted with a CO2 Control Valve. This constantly monitors the indoor climate and ensures that polluted air (at a ppm > 800 ppm) is extracted in the relevant room - and only there.

‘Humid rooms’, such as the bathroom, can be fitted with a Moisture Control Valve. As soon as a shower is taken, for example, this control valve automatically ensures that the humid air is extracted in the bathroom until the situation returns to normal.

The control valves ensure that only polluted and/or humid air is exhausted, where and when needed and in the right quantity. As soon as the indoor climate is optimised again, the dampers close again, resulting in an even quieter and more energy-efficient operation.

With the standard DucoBox Focus, it is possible to reach up to 0.43 f_{reduction heat} with the correct configuration. With the correct configuration of DucoBox Focus Tronic System, it is possible to decreasef_{reduction heat} up to 0.35.
