Installation of an inline tube fan
A tube fan is an easy to install and powerful extractor fan. An inline tube fan is able to achieve good ventilation and can be used for ventilation of both small and large spaces (industrial fans). A tube fan is a lot more powerful than a normal bathroom fan, which means that they are used more often in rooms where there is more air resistance.
A tube fan is built in between two ventilation pipes or pushed into a pipe. The advantage of this is that the motor, which drives the fan, is not located in the same room where the air is extracted. The alternative is that it is located, for example, in the attic or in an adjacent room. This causes less noise pollution and does not take up any space. This can be placed horizontally as well as vertically.
Multiple extraction points
Because in line tube fans have a lot of capacity, it is highly recommended to create several extraction points in the room. In this way the air is distributed over several grids, so that you get more capacity from the fan. A positive side effect is that this also produces less noise when the air is displaced. Note: Tube fans can have a shorter life span if there is too much air resistance.
In order to use the optimal capacity of the tube fan, it is necessary to use +/- the same size of tube as the diameter of the tube fan. If you change from a small to a large tube, or vice versa, with the tube fan in between, there is a chance that too much pressure will be put on the fan, causing it to run slower and therefore not reach its optimum capacity.

Safe connection
Because a fan is often used in relatively damp rooms, it is important that the electricity connection is safe. Also make sure that when installing a fan, it hangs in a place where you can reach. This so that it can be kept clean, but also certainly when it may need to be maintained.
To help you, we have made a video in which you can see how we connect the tube fan. You can watch the video below. If you have further questions about installing a tube fan or if you have any other questions, please do not hesitate to contact one of our specialists.
